It was a privilege to witness and photograph this year’s National Aboriginal Veterans Day in Vancouver. There was a private ceremony at Carnegie Centre attended by the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia,  The Honourable Judith Guichon, local politicians, aboriginal and asian veterans, and other members of the community. This was followed by a march to the cenotaph at Victory Square on Hastings Street. I’ve been to many Remembrance Day events but this is the first time I attended one to honour our brave Aboriginal veterans and soldiers and it was a day, fittingly, I will never forget.
